The "C"

We talked above about how people use the internet...to seek information and solutions.

By providing well-written, interesting and theme-related information you are offering great CONTENT. This is what people surfing the net want! Not ads, not flashing banners, not a sales pitch...just good ol' CONTENT!

So give them excellent Content and you are on your way! That's the "C" in the CTPM Process.

The "T"

Now that you are providing some interesting content closely related the the theme/subject you have chosen, you will want people to find your site and read it! This is called TRAFFIC! People don't use the internet to find YOU! They are looking for information. So how do they find your site which has the information they are seeking?

Again, return to how you use the internet. What would you do?

Most likely you will use one of the main Search Engines and enter some words. These are called "keywords."

Keywords are critical to building traffic to your Web site. When you choose the keywords that most people would use to find a site with certain information, you will be found! Or rather, your Web site will be found. This is what you want!

You see, when you provide good content on a site and start to build some traffic, you will most likely want to turn your attention to how to earn income from all of this work. Afterall, you are building a business, right?

Note: It's perfectly okay to build a site that you don't intend to earn income from :)

The rest of the process is about how to start bringing in income from your theme-based content site.

Here we go.

During the course of your excellent theme-based content, you might wish to tell you readers about a certain book, product, service, process, you name it! A great way to do this is to recommend within the context of your content. Let me give you an example.

A Helpful Example

Let's say my site is all about home organizing. On my page about organizing a home office, I talk about filing. I have researched many filing systems looking for the best one or two to tell my readers about.

I might say something like this: "Many people tend to "over-file" personal papers, most of which they will never even retrieve. I recommend the EasyFile Home Filing System. It is just what it claims to be...EASY and it uses a Straight-Line Filing System which offers many advantages, such as allowing you to add or remove any file without disrupting your pattern. It's user-friendly, easy on the eye (personally I love the symmetric look!), and convenient to work with."

What did I accomplish here? Well first, I recommended a certain product. This is called "PRE-SELLING." The EasyFile System is not mine. It is one I represent as an Affiliate. I am just telling my reader about it and it's up to them to pursue the recommendation further. They may or they may not, but the chances that they will pursue this further are much higher than if I tried to (hard)-sell the system.

If the surfer clicks on the EasyFile Link to check it out, they are in an "open-to-consider-purchase" frame of mind. They know a little about it from what they read on my site and want to know more. They are PRE-SOLD!

The rest of the selling takes place on the site they click on to.

Whew! That's harder to explain than I thought it would be! And that is only ONE type of PRE-SELLING. There are lots of other types depending on what your Web business is all about.

So now you have the "P" in the CTPM...PRE-SELL.

The "M"

We have now reached the "M" in The CTPM process.

This will ultimately be how you earn income from your Web based business. It all ties into what money making models you choose and how well you pre-sell.

MONETIZATION is the "M" in the CTPM process.

Returning to the example above, if someone were to like what I have said about the EasyFile System and clicked on the link to the site which sells it, and then purchased it, I would earn a acommission. How? Because I am an Affiliate for this System, kind of like a Sales Rep.
