"A Year from Now" has been our mantra for...well, the past year! Erin realized a year ago she wanted to spend more time focusing on online endeavors and at the same time, Jen was trying a new Web site building package (Site Build It, of course!). In that year, together we were commissioned to write an ebook for other WAHMs (work at home moms), partnered to create and run this Web site, and individually worked on other income-producing ventures. All in all, it's been a very good year!

Now we find that each time we set a new business goal, we already recognize that it takes time and energy to reach it. So telling ourselves "A Year from Now," frees us up from the pressure of achieving success immediately which for us, is unrealistic.

Quite often, when we set goals, we have 100 different reasons why we can't make it work. You may be afraid you don't have the money, time or skill to create a successful Web site.

lol That's right; we laugh at the idea you can't reach your goal. Here's why...

Money - If you see your Web site as an investment in your small business, you'll recognize the value it brings you. And trust us, done properly, a Web site will give you a HUGE ROI (return on investment). Our favorite web host/site builder, Site Build It!, costs around $25/month, yet OVERdelivers the results of any other site building package out there. Truth is, you really can't afford NOT to build a site.

Time - Ah yes, time. Or lack thereof ;-) We realize there's never enough time for a WAHM business owner because we are WAHMs too. We can't tell you how many times we've lamented the need to sleep, run errands, eat, hug kids and kiss spouses when all we wanted to do was keep building, building, building our business! But there are solutions to the time-problem. You can always chip away at it yourself, an hour or two a day. Slowly, but surely, your site will develop. But if time is an issue, consider hiring a friend or family member to do the work or enlist a freelancer or virtual assistant.

Skill - From a self-described "Non-Techie" and a self-described "Internet Geek," we know firsthand that anyone can build a web site, especially if they use Site Build It! to get the job done. We've seen people from grandmothers to software programmers have success with Site Build It! so we know it's completely do-able.
